The owners had a plain wall in the morning and a full-height feature by teatime. The board is a deep charcoal concrete-effect with a raw industrial grain, and warm grey oak acoustic slats lift it. We line the grain up across the cabinet doors and the TV backpanel so nothing jars when you look along it.
A 50" linear electric fire runs along under the screen with colour-changing LED, and the backpanel behind the telly has its own lighting for the darker nights. The sockets and every cable run sit inside the cabinets, so there's nothing trailing across the wall. We drew it up with the owner in their own house, cut and edged the Egger board by hand in Linwood, and fitted it ourselves.
