Built around the breast, not against it

A chimney breast is actually the perfect home for a media wall. It's already the focal point of the room. We measure the breast and its alcoves, design the wall around them with you, and make every panel and cabinet by hand in our Linwood workshop to fit exactly.

Your TV sits on a recessed backpanel, so no more craning at a screen perched too high on the chimney, with a double socket hidden behind it and every cable gone. Add a 40″, 50″ or 60″ electric fire and the chimney breast becomes a proper fireplace wall again, without the dust and drama.

You can have a media wall without a fire too. The doors-only cabinets are £300 less and everything else is the same. Add upright display cabinets from 300mm to 1800mm wide on one side or both if you want them.

Asked & answered

Can you put a TV on a chimney breast?
Yes, and better than a bracket ever will. We build a made-to-measure media wall onto the chimney breast: TV recessed on an LED-lit backpanel at a comfortable height, a hidden double socket behind it, and every cable moved out of sight by our TV and satellite team.
Can you fit a media wall over a chimney breast?
Yes. We fit on any wall, chimney breasts included; it's one of the most common jobs we do. Because every wall's made to measure in our own workshop, we build round the breast and its alcoves exactly.
What happens to my old fireplace?
Every chimney breast is different, so that's one of the first things we look at during your design consultation. We'll assess your wall, talk through the options, and design the media wall around what's there.
How much does a chimney breast media wall cost?
The same clear pricing as all our walls: doors-only from £2,900, or with an electric fire from £3,200 to £3,600 depending on cabinet and fire size, designed, built and fitted.
