We design and build media walls to suit them, whether it's a Stockbridge flat, a semi in Corstorphine or a new-build out toward the Lothians. Each one is made by hand at Linwood and fitted by our own team.

High ceilings, deep alcoves, a modern flat with none of either: the capital's rooms don't follow a pattern. Made to measure is the answer to that. Your wall is built to the room you've got, chimney breast and all.
The capital's rooms rarely come square. We build walls in the Georgian flats around Stockbridge and the New Town, in the Morningside villas, and in family homes stretching out to the Lothians, along with Leith, Portobello, Corstorphine and Trinity. Every one is measured in the room and made to sit against its own chimney breast or alcove rather than forced flat.
Edinburgh rooms are some of the tallest we work in. The Georgian and Victorian flats through Marchmont, Bruntsfield and the New Town come with high ceilings, deep cornicing and a big chimney breast on the main wall, so there's room for a proper full-height wall with the fire and TV stacked if you want. A lot of these sit in conservation areas or are listed, so we keep the fixings careful and everything stays inside the room. Out at Corstorphine, Cramond and the newer estates it's flatter ceilings and more open-plan walls, which suit a full built-out wall instead.
If a fire isn't for you, swap it for doors and the cabinet is £300 less, made to the same standard throughout. Tall display cabinets can go down one side or both, 300mm to 1800mm wide.
